Suspect flees after stabbing woman near Glendale bus stop

A woman was stabbed in the stomach in Glendale on Wednesday afternoon after a fight escalated, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A woman was stabbed in the stomach in Glendale on Wednesday afternoon after a fight escalated, authorities said.

The incident occurred near a bus stop, where the victim called 911 from, according to the Glendale Police Department.

Police identified the suspect in the stabbing as a woman who fled on a bicycle before officers arrived. She has not been located, police said.

Authorities noted that information on the incident could change as the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.
