Woman hospitalized, suspect at large after shooting in north Phoenix

A woman is in the hospital and a suspect is at large after a shooting in north Phoenix on Tuesday evening.

PHOENIX — A woman is in the hospital and a suspect is at large after a shooting in north Phoenix on Tuesday evening.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area of 25th Avenue and Greenway Road for reports of a shooting around 6 p.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they reportedly found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said that the Phoenix Fire Department took the woman to a hospital with serious injuries, but she is now stable.

The suspect left before officers arrived, according to Phoenix police.

Police said that officers are speaking to witnesses.

The investigation into the north Phoenix shooting is ongoing.
