Woman hospitalized after shooting near south Tempe fire station

A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning after a shooting near a fire station in south Tempe, authorities said.

A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning after a shooting near a fire station in south Tempe, authorities said.

She had suffered at least one gunshot wound near the area of Calle Sonora and Calle San Angelo in Guadalupe, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

MCSO deputies responded to the scene at 1:33 a.m. and located the woman, who has not been identified, and took her to a nearby hospital.

No information on a possible suspect has been given at this time.

Detectives have taken over the investigation.
