Phoenix man dead after vehicle-pedestrian collision in Glendale

A man was killed Saturday night in a vehicle-pedestrian collision near 57th Avenue and Camelback in Glendale, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A man was killed Saturday night in a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Glendale, authorities said.

Phoenix resident Johnny Sanchez, 56, died after getting hit near 57th Avenue and Camelback Road just after 8:30 p.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.

The driver is not suspected of speeding and showed no signs of impairment, police said.

No arrests were made, but the investigation is ongoing.
