PHOENIX — Don’t have a cow, but one of the nation’s best vegan burgers is available in the Valley.
The Big WAC from the Green New American Restaurant, which has locations in Phoenix and Tempe, was named to PETA’s top 10 list.
Similar to the famous burger from McDonald’s that it’s modeled after, the Big WAC features two vegan patties, lettuce, dairy-free cheese, pickles, onions and a secret sauce on a sesame seed bun.
The animal rights organization recommended pairing the sandwich with thyme fries and bringing along a friend to finish it all.
PETA went from coast to coast to find the TEN BEST #vegan burgers at U.S. restaurants 👏 🍔
