Turquoise Alert canceled for missing 16-year-old Peoria boy after he was found safe

PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a Turquoise Alert on Thursday afternoon for a missing 16-year-old boy from Peoria after he was found safe.
The Turquoise Alert for Chandler Ikard was canceled shortly after it was issued.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Ikard was last seen at 6:30 a.m. leaving his home near 95th Avenue and Beardsley Road to go to school.
According to the Peoria Police Department, Ikard was safely located.
DPS described Ikard as a 140-pound white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
Ikard was wearing a gray and black vest.
Turquoise Alerts are issued when a missing person is under the age of 65, local law enforcement has exhausted all available resources, the person is believed to be in danger or in the company of someone potentially dangerous, and the circumstances surrounding the disappearance are unexplained or suspicious.
