PHOENIX — Eegee’s will debut its second Gilbert location — and third total in metro Phoenix — next month.
The Tucson-based fast food chain will open a restaurant at Val Vista Drive and Willis Road on Mar. 3, according to a press release.
The location will have similar dimensions to the other two in the Valley.
The 2,300-square-foot space will include an eegee-only drive-thru window for the chain’s signature drink and a walk-up order window.
Eegee’s will hold a soft opening on March 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. that is open to the public.
All proceeds will be donated to Gilbert-based nonprofit Open Arms, which serves local families who have fallen on hard times by providing them food and clothing on a monthly basis.
“We were thrilled with the positive response we received when we opened the first location in Gilbert last July,” CEO Ron Petty said in the release. “And we’re excited to be able to give back to the same community through our partnership with Open Arms who is doing important work to help locals in need.
“As we continue to grow—from Tucson to the East Valley, and soon, to the West Valley—we hope to maintain that same connection with every community Eegee’s opens in.”
The restaurant’s normal hours of operation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
The first Gilbert location, near Crismon Road and U.S. 60, opened in July and a Mesa one opened in November.
A fourth metro Phoenix location — and first in the West Valley — is scheduled to open at 35th and Peoria avenues this summer.
Eegee’s has more than 20 locations across Tucson and has been in business since 1971.
