PHOENIX — Eegee’s has set an opening date for its second foray into the East Valley, this time in Mesa.

The Tucson-based fast-food chain will open its spot near Crismon Road and U.S. 60 on Dec. 14, according to a press release.

One person who shows up on opening day and posts a photo to Eegee’s social media will be randomly selected to win free food for a year.

The 2,300-square-foot space will have separate walk-up and pickup windows, and a dining room that seats 30 people.

“We were thrilled with the welcome we received at the debut of Eegee’s in Gilbert,” CEO Ron Petty said in the release.

“Our goal is to build on this momentum, bringing our unique offering to more neighborhoods across metro Phoenix, starting with the East Valley and our first location in Gilbert and now, Mesa.”

Before the Gilbert location opened in July, the closest Eegee’s location to metro Phoenix was in Casa Grande.

The chain said it plans to open additional Valley locations in 2022.

The company’s signature frozen treats have also been available at some Valley Blimpie sandwich shops.

Eegee’s has more than 20 locations across Tucson and has been in business since 1971.
