PHOENIX – Traffic on Interstate 10 in the far West Valley was disrupted by a trailer fire Thursday morning, authorities said.

Eastbound I-10 was closed temporarily west of Tonopah around 9:30 a.m. for a vehicle fire at milepost 80 near Salome Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Traffic started getting through again in under 30 minutes, ADOT said.

The flames spread throughout a trailer being pulled by a semi-truck after starting in a tire, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. No injuries were reported.

Motorists were advised to expect delays or avoid the area.

Westbound traffic was not impacted by the trailer fire.
