Suspect arrested after allegedly using pepper balls to steal car in Tempe
A person who allegedly tried to steal another resident's car was arrested after threatening the car's owner with a simulated handgun.

PHOENIX – A person was arrested after allegedly stealing a car and using pepper balls and a “simulated handgun.”
Tempe Police said the incident took place late Thursday night near Elliot Road and Priest Drive.
The suspect in that incident hit another car with a pepper ball, but the victim of the attempted car theft followed the car, and Tempe Police arrested the suspect without incident.

No injuries were reported and authorities are still investigating.
