Suspect at large after early-morning shooting in west Phoenix

PHOENIX – A suspect is at large after an early-morning shooting in west Phoenix on Wednesday, authorities said.

Officers responded to a shooting call near 45th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard in Maryvale around 3 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

They found a man who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.

The suspect left the scene before police arrived.

No other details were made available. The investigation is ongoing.
