Phoenix police arrest 2 men in connection with string of armed robberies

The Phoenix Police Department arrested two men in connection to two armed robberies on Tuesday.

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department arrested two men in connection to two armed robberies on Tuesday.

Osvaldo Campa, 22, and Pablo Escobar Castillo, 20, both admitted to their involvement in the robberies after their arrests, police said.

On April 29 at about 8:30 p.m., Campa and Escobar Castillo both robbed a business near 20th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. One man was armed while the other took cash. Both men were able to leave before police arrived.

About an hour later, Campa and Escobar Castillo both robbed another business near Grovers Avenue and Cave Creek Road in the same manner.

After detectives began investigating and determined both incidents were related, both men were located and arrested. Police said both men were booked on multiple charges.

The investigation remains ongoing.
