All lanes of State Route 87 reopen after Saturday night crash

PHOENIX — All lanes of State Route 87 reopened near Gilbert Road after a Saturday night vehicle fire, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The northbound lanes were the last to reopen on Sunday morning at approximately 6:07 a.m.

The initial closure affected both directions around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday.

The southbound lanes were closed for more than four hours.
