1 dead among 3 shot in south Phoenix, suspect fled scene

A south Phoenix shooting on Saturday morning left one person dead and two others hospitalized, authorities said.

The male suspect left the scene before officers could arrive, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Officers responded around 9 a.m. on Saturday to find one man, Carlos Galindo, 40, dead inside a home near Seventh Avenue and Baseline Road.

Two other people were shot and were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries: a 35-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, neither of whom was identified.
