Police investigating deadly shooting in southwest Phoenix

An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a shooting in southwest Phoenix on Thursday night, authorities said.

PHOENIX – An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a shooting in southwest Phoenix on Thursday night, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of 41st Avenue and Buckeye Road around 11 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

They found 21-year-old Angel Rodriguez Tapia suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details about the ongoing investigation were made available.
