Seven earthquakes reportedly hit northwest Arizona

Arizona and earthquakes don’t normally go together.

This time the earthquakes weren’t felt in the Valley, but a streak of seven earthquakes in less than 24 hours hit the northwest edge of the state on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the seven earthquakes ranged from 0.3 magnitude all the way up to a 3.7 magnitude.

Six of the seven earthquakes were closest to Bunkerville, Nevada, with the other being closer to Pahrump, Nevada.

Bunkerville is a little less than 110 miles north of Kingman and 176 miles northwest of Flagstaff.

These earthquakes are not unheard for the area in the past month.

There were 19 different earthquakes to take place in the area from March 29 to April 3 this year.

There is currently no reported outages or damage in either state from the streak of earthquakes.
