PHOENIX – Second gentleman Doug Emhoff will campaign in Yuma on Saturday as part of an effort to encourage early voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Early voting began in Arizona on Oct. 9.
Harris’ husband will speak at a campaign event in the southwestern Arizona city at a date and time yet to be announced.
The second gentleman will visit Reno, Nevada on Friday before arriving in Arizona.
Emhoff has already campaigned in the Grand Canyon state, making an appearance in July as part of the Investing in America tour before later making a stop in Tucson in September to talk about abortion rights.
Last Tuesday, Emhoff also spoke in Mesa at a Republicans for Harris event, in Paradise Valley at a fundraiser and in Phoenix at South Mountain Community Center.
Emhoff ‘s visit to Yuma will come on the heels of former President Barack Obama speaking in Tucson on Friday at a time and site yet to be announced.
What do the polls say?
It has been a particularly tight race in Arizona, but many recent polls show Trump holds a marginal lead over Harris in the state, while Harris holds a slight edge over Trump nationally.
