PHOENIX — Do you feel like you missed out by not volunteering during the Thanksgiving weekend?
Well, you’re in luck.
With the December holidays rapidly approaching, the Salvation Army is looking for people who can help out for its annual Christmas dinner event.
The four-day event, which begins Dec. 22, will take place at the west building of the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix.
“The biggest need we always have is for cleanup and volunteers to drive meals for homebound individuals,” Scott Johnson, Salvation Army’s southwest division public relations director, told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Those looking to volunteer can find more information on the Salvation Army website.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work in the kitchen.
KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Ali Vetnar contributed to this report.
