PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert was canceled Tuesday after a missing 70-year-old Phoenix man was located, authorities announced.
The alert was issued Monday for Raul Perez, who had last been seen on Dec. 15 in the area of 62nd Avenue and Vineyard Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Police said Perez was found safe and unharmed, but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
He has a medical condition that could cause him to become confused or easily lost.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
