A SAFE Alert for an 84-year-old last seen in Phoenix on Monday night was canceled on Thursday, one day after it was issued.

Charles White was treated for dehydration at a hospital before returning home, the Phoenix Police Department said.

When the alert was issued, authorities said that he has a medical condition that can cause him to become easily lost or confused.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental or cognitive disabilities.
