The Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a SAFE Alert Tuesday for an 18-year-old woman who left her home with a puppy.
Mariana Magana-Morfin was last seen Tuesday afternoon near the Prasada Shopping Center in Surprise, according to the Surprise Police Department.
At the time, she was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes, while with the Boston terrier puppy, Surprise PD said.
Magana-Morfin left her wallet and other belongings at home, according to DPS.
Authorities said she has a medical condition that can leave her disoriented or confused.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Surprise PD at 623-222-4000 or 623-222-8477. The department is also taking emailed tips at crimetips@surpriseaz.gov.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
