PHOENIX – One man was shot and killed following a road rage incident in Scottsdale on Sunday, according to authorities.
Scottsdale police said Monday that two men were involved in a road rage incident around 1 p.m. near Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
The victim in the incident, a 27-year-old man identified Tuesday as Andre Hall, left the scene and returned to his residence where he was followed by the suspect, 42-year-old Nathan Lindman.
Police said a verbal altercation ensued in the parking lot where Lindman allegedly reached into his bag.
Hall, fearing that Lindman was reaching for a firearm, drew his own weapon and shot Lindman, police said.
Lindman then drove out of the complex, where he collided with another vehicle.
Responding officers provided first aid before Lindman was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of the gunshot injury, police said.
Police said that when the ongoing investigation is completed, the case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether Hall will face charges.
