PHOENIX — The new Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center is set to open in spring 2025, according to a press release Thursday.

Located on Signal Butte, north of Queen Creek Road, the Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center will feature a zero-depth entry pool, lazy river, indoor track, fitness area and more.

“This facility has been years in the making,” Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley said in the release. “Our residents have been asking for a pool, slides, indoor sports courts and I am so excited that we are almost there. This facility will be a staple in our community – it will be where families and friends gather, being active and creating lasting memories. As a Council, we are so looking forward to celebrating the grand opening of this wonderful facility in just a few months.”

The facility was approved in 2021, and in a survey conducted in 2023, 75% of residents stated they wanted an aquatic center and/or a multi-generational center.

It’ll be located at the new Frontier Family Park, which includes an inclusive play area, five-acre fishing lake, lighted ball fields, picnic areas, splash pad, basketball and volleyball courts as well as 24 pickleball courts.

Additional amenities in the facility include indoor basketball, volleyball and pickleball courts, a teen room as well as a child room and classrooms. The outdoor aquatic center will include a lap/competition pool along with slides.

Residents can purchase individual and household memberships and will also have the option to purchase passes. Residents also must have an active CivicRec account to purchase a membership.

Non-residents can purchase a day pass if accompanied by a Queen Creek resident during the purchase.

Information on costs will be available in early 2025.
