2 Powerball tickets sold in Arizona win $50K

PHOENIX — Two Arizona lottery players who purchased Powerball tickets became $50,000 richer on Monday.

According to the Arizona Lottery, one of the winning tickets was sold at a Circle K in Glendale at the intersection of Glendale and 83rd avenues. The other winning ticket was purchased at a Desert Springs Travel Center in Littlefield, a small community in northwest Arizona with a population of 256.

The winning numbers in Monday night’s drawing were 38, 43, 59, 63 and 64, and the Powerball was 15.

To win the $50,000, the tickets needed to match four numbers and the Powerball. The odds of winning the prize are one in 913,129.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Powerball is a nationwide game of chance with drawings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is an estimated $58 million.

Tickets cost $2 each and can be purchased at more than 3,000 locations statewide.

The winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings.

A Powerball ticket purchased from a market in Vail, about 24 miles southeast of Tucson, also won $100,000 in last Saturday’s drawing.
