Powerball ticket worth $100,000 sold at grocery store in Arizona

PHOENIX — One lucky Powerball player bought a ticket in Arizona worth $100,000 in Saturday night’s drawing.

The ticket was bought at a Roadrunner Market in Vail, an unincorporated community in Pima County roughly 24 miles southeast of Tucson. It has a population of around 16,300 people.

The Powerball numbers drawn on Saturday were 6, 47, 49, 53 and 60. The ticket matched four of the five numbers, plus the red Powerball number: 6.

That’s good for $50,000, but the winnings were doubled thanks to the $1 Power Play option.

Arizona Lottery winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Powerball has drawings on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.

Tickets can be purchased at more than 3,000 locations across the Grand Canyon State and cost $2.

The next Powerball drawing is Monday night. The jackpot is estimated to be $45 million.
