1 dead, 1 hospitalized after possible murder-suicide incident in Phoenix

PHOENIX – One person is dead and another is fighting for her life after a possible murder-suicide incident in Phoenix over the weekend, authorities said Monday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting call at the 5600 block of south 12th Lane, near 15th and Southern avenues, around 10:40 p.m. Saturday and found two gunshot victims, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

A man whose wounds appeared to be self-inflicted was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a woman with life-threatening injuries was taken to a hospital, where she was stabilized, police said.

Investigation into possible murder-suicide is ongoing

Phoenix Police detectives and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the case.
