Police searching for suspect after man shot, killed in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for a suspect accused of killing a man in west Phoenix on Sunday evening.

Officers responded to the area of Van Buren Street and 67th Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. and found a 49-year-old man with gunshot injuries.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Officers learned the suspect shot the victim while the two were arguing.

No other details were immediately available.
