Small plane makes emergency landing on Phoenix roadway, area to be closed for several hours

PHOENIX — A small airplane with three people on board was forced to make an emergency landing on a Phoenix roadway on Sunday afternoon, but no passengers were hurt.

The white and blue aircraft crashed down near Seventh Street and Missouri Avenue, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The crash landing caused water main issues among the damages. As a result, Seventh Street will be closed between Missouri Avenue and Coulter Street for several hours, the Phoenix Police Department said.

All three people on board the plane got out and were evaluated by Phoenix fire. No residents, buildings or cars were injured or hit during the crash.

The scene has been turned over to the Phoenix police.
