Police investigating after pickup truck crashes into Phoenix home

PHOENIX – Police are investigating after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Phoenix on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to the scene on 13th Street north of Buckeye Road just before 5 a.m. and found the driver still inside the truck, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The man was taken to a hospital as a precaution. None of the home’s occupants were injured.

TV news footage showed a white pickup truck lodged into the wall of a townhouse, with extensive damage to the building.

Police believe impairment was a factor in the crash.

A charging decision will be made when the investigation is completed.
