Phoenix Fire Department introduces 3 new search dogs: Bunker, Ryder and Sawyer
Each dog and their handler will need to receive extensive training before aiding locally or being deployed for FEMA emergencies with Arizona Task Force One.

The Phoenix Fire Department had three new crew members join its ranks recently. Search dogs Bunker, Ryder and Sawyer were announced in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The pups alongside their handlers showed off their skills — navigating obstacles, executing agility exercises and performing scent detection drills — during an event last week.
Before being used during local emergencies or deployed for FEMA emergencies with Arizona Task Force One, each dog and their handler will receive extensive training.
The department believes the addition of the search and rescue teams will help the city and region be more prepared for disasters.
