Pedestrians hit by vehicle in west Phoenix, leaving 1 dead and 1 injured

One pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized with injuries after a collision in west Phoenix Sunday morning.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives responded to investigate the morning collision near 67th Avenue and Broadway Road.

The person who was hospitalized sustained minor injuries in the collision, authorities said.

The area will be shut down for several hours, according to MCSO.

No one involved has been publicly identified at this time.
