PHOENIX — A pedestrian was killed in an early morning hit and run in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Police believe that a tractor-trailer hit and killed a pedestrian at 12:46 a.m. near the on-ramp to Interstate 17 at 15th Avenue, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.

The victim was identified as a 31-year-old male, who was pronounced deceased on the scene.

No other details were immediately available.
