Woman in critical condition after motorcycle crash, possible hit and run

PHOENIX — A woman was in extremely critical condition after she and another motorcyclist collided Friday afternoon, Phoenix Police said.

Both motorcycles were traveling westbound on East McDowell Road when they hit each other near 28th Street.

The 61-year-old woman was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other driver, a 56-year-old male with non life-threatening injuries, was arrested processed for driving under the influence, police said.

A white Ford pick-up truck may have been involved in the incident, but it did not remain at the scene.
