PHOENIX — A 71-year-old man died after a collision that took place on private property in Phoenix early Thursday, authorities said.

Officers with the Phoenix Police Department found Armando Felix in the area of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road around 5:40 a.m.

They found Felix with serious injuries. While authorities brought him to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle involved in the collision remained on the scene, police said.

Police don’t believe impairment played a role in the crash.

Investigators believe Felix was walking on the private property when the vehicle struck him.

No further details were released as this is an ongoing investigation.

Earlier this week, a pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing a north Phoenix road around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
