A pedestrian is dead after a collision in the early hours of Tuesday morning near Tolleson, authorities said.

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car early Tuesday morning near Tolleson, authorities said.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a driver reporting a collision shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Deputies responded to the crash site on Buckeye Road, east of 107th Avenue, and found the pedestrian unresponsive. They were later pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene.
