PHOENIX — Chandler Police discovered nearly 400 pounds of meth hidden in bags full of onions during a traffic stop, authorities said Thursday.
One man was arrested after the drugs were found during the stop near Interstate 10 and Riggs Road, according to a post on the Chandler Police Department Facebook page.
Claudio Hernandez Perez was arrested on charges of transporting a dangerous drug for sale.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security Investigations were involved in the bust.
No other information was available.
