A man was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred last Friday in Chandler, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A man was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred last Friday in Chandler, authorities said.
Jer’hard Doane Duriso was arrested at his home in Mesa on Monday for allegedly hitting and killing a motorcyclist, according to the Chandler Police Department.
Details on fatal hit-and-run in Chandler
According to Chandler police, 40-year-old Obed Guadalupe Duarte-Leyva was driving the motorcycle that Duriso hit with his SUV, near Chandler Boulevard and Delaware Street.
Duriso reportedly fled the scene without stopping to check on or help Duarte-Leyva.
Chandler detectives were able to identify Duriso as a suspect using advanced technology.
Duriso is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death or injury.
The Chandler Police Department extended its condolences to the family and loved ones of Duarte-Leyva.
