Arizona DPS trooper dies after off-duty collision in Peoria

PHOENIX — A trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety has died after an off-duty incident in Peoria, authorities said Monday.

The deceased trooper was identified as Kelly Sullivan, who “was not traveling to or from work at the time of the incident,” according to the Peoria Police Department.

The incident, which ABC15 reported was a motorcycle crash, occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday near Loop 303 and Lake Pleasant Parkway.

It was not immediately clear what led to the crash, as it remains an active investigation.
