PHOENIX — Downtown Mesa will welcome in a new restaurant to start the New Year.

Locally-owned 12 West Brewing on Main Street in Mesa will host its grand opening on New Year’s Eve.

“We know the bond formed when sharing a pint or sipping a cocktail at the bar–people meet, converse and make memories surrounded by good friends, tasty food, and great beer,” owner Bryan McCormick said in a press release. “We want to be a community space, where our guests are on their own time.”

McCormick also owns 12 West Brewing at Barnone in Gilbert. Since 2016, he and Noel Garcia have brewed their own craft beers.

Their expansion to Mesa comes after years of planning, according to the release.

It features craft cocktails made with spirits from local distilleries and beers from Arizona breweries as well as their own craft beers. The menu provides patrons with a variety of small plates made with locally sourced ingredients.

The 19,000-square-foot building has undergone extensive renovations to become a taproom, cocktail bar and restaurant. There’s also plans to develop the basement into a music venue in the future.

The restaurant will be open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday until midnight.
