PHOENIX – Nestlé USA announced plans Wednesday to build a factory in Glendale for making non-dairy coffee creamers, a project that will create an estimated 350 jobs in the West Valley suburb.

The 630,000-square-foot facility will span 143.6 acres of land near Reems Road and Northern Parkway and is expected to be operational in 2024.

“We appreciate the partnership from state and local officials and look forward to contributing to the local economy and Glendale community for many years to come, including through the creation of over 350 jobs,” Daniel Jhung, president of beverage for Nestlé USA, said in a press release.

The factory will produce Coffee mate, Coffee mate natural bliss and Starbucks brands and could add more products down the road.

Nestlé USA, which has headquarters in Virginia, is part of Switzerland-based Nestlé S.A., the world’s largest food and beverage conglomerate. The Glendale project will be the company’s 15th U.S. factory.

Hiring for the new facility is slated to start this summer. Job seekers can sign up for alerts through the company’s website.

“We are honored to welcome the largest food and beverage company to Glendale’s New Frontier,” Mayor Jerry Weiers said in the release.

“Their commitment to long-term positive impact aligns directly with the city’s vision and we look forward to having them join our community. The significant impact of their fiscal investment and the jobs created will be seen for years to come.”
