3 streamers arrested in Tucson area where ‘Today’ host Savannah Guthrie’s mother was kidnapped

Months after the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie went missing in Tucson, three social media streamers were arrested for allegedly causing trouble in the same neighborhood, authorities said Tuesday.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it received numerous complaints about the three people blocking roadways, trespassing and disrupting the peace in the Catalina Foothills area where Nancy Guthrie lived before she was taken against her will.

Despite warnings, no-trespassing signs and citations, the three suspects continued to break the law, the sheriff’s department said. They were allegedly covering the case, which sparked nationwide attention after the 84-year-old mother disappeared between the evening of Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Video evidence allegedly showed one of the three streamers urinating in public behind a makeshift tent.

Two of the three arrestees were booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.

One is 54-year-old Alexander Zabel Jr., who faces two counts of obstructing a highway or thoroughfare and one count of public nuisance.

The other streamer behind bars is 34-year-old Troy Lewis Bradshaw, who faces one count of public nuisance.

The third streamer arrested is 46-year-old Damian Todd Enderle, who was cited and released after being charged with one count of public nuisance.

In the wake of the three arrests, Sheriff Chris Nanos is cracking down on this type of behavior.

“Sheriff Nanos will no longer tolerate behavior that disrupts the community or violates the law,” according to a Tuesday press release. “Effective immediately, individuals found in violation of the law may be cited and released on a first offense. However, repeat offenders may be arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of public nuisance.”

Why were the streamers interested in area where Nancy Guthrie lived?

Online content creators have been flocking to the scene for months, with some even accused of ordering pizza to the scene in early February, while the area was still an active crime scene.

The case drew widespread interest in part because of Savannah Guthrie’s role as co-anchor of NBC’s “Today” show, a position she has held since 2012.

That attention intensified after the FBI released surveillance videos of a masked man who was outside Guthrie’s front door on the night she vanished.

The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of their mother.

After taking time off to join the search for her mother, Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show. She has spoken publicly about the agony of not knowing what happened to her mother and the grief of not knowing if Nancy Guthrie is alive.

Detectives have not arrested anyone in connection with Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
