Body of swimmer who went missing at Lake Pleasant recovered
The body of a missing swimmer was recovered from Lake Pleasant on Thursday, four days after he went underwater and did not resurface.

PHOENIX – The body of a missing swimmer was recovered from Lake Pleasant on Thursday, authorities announced.
Deputies responded to a possible drowning call at the northwest Valley lake around 6:40 p.m. Sunday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The man reportedly was struggling to swim back to a boat near South Barker Island and was calling for help when he went underwater and failed to resurface.
Search crews located his body four days later and notified his next of kin, MCSO said.
No other details were made available.
