KTAR News anchor Becky Lynn to be inducted into Arizona Media Hall of Fame

One of KTAR News 92.3 FM's top anchors and contributors, Becky Lynn, will soon be officially inducted into the Arizona Media Hall of Fame.

PHOENIX — One of KTAR News 92.3 FM’s top anchors and contributors, Becky Lynn, will be officially inducted into the Arizona Media Hall of Fame in 2026.

For decades, Becky Lynn’s voice has been a trusted presence in Arizona media. By joining the state’s hall of fame, she’s earning an honor reserved for professionals whose work has shaped and transformed the state’s media landscape.

Becky Lynn arrived in Arizona in 1989 from east Tennessee radio stations WIVK (country) and WIMZ (rock).

Since then, she has become one of Phoenix’s longest-running female radio news anchors, with influential roles at KMLE Country 107.9 FM, KNIX Country 102.5 and now KTAR News 92.3 FM.

“When I moved to Arizona, I never dreamed I’d still be living here all these years later, much less still be on the radio,” Becky Lynn said. “I have loved every moment on the air and being a part of the lives of all those who listen. I appreciate their trust over the years. This is an incredible honor!”

Her reporting and on-air presence have earned her recognition from the Associated Press, a regional Edward R. Murrow Award and Phoenix Magazine’s Best of Phoenix.

Beyond the newsroom, Becky Lynn has given back to the community by hosting public affairs programs, emceeing events and supporting initiatives that connect Arizonans.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she is also a proud mom to Madison and Luke and wife to Bill Ottinger.

They will officially receive their awards at the Arizona Media Icon Lunch on April 2, 2026, at the Arizona Biltmore Ballroom.
