PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a fatal hit-and-run involving a motorcyclist who was struck while laying in the roadway in Litchfield Park last weekend.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 54-year-old Brian Disney, was down in the roadway just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, MCSO said in a press release.

Evidence showed he struck a sign and was ejected from his vehicle.

A dark-colored pick-up truck then possibly ran over Disney as he was laying in the northbound lanes on Dysart Road just before Maryland Avenue, MCSO said.

The “run vehicle” then continued north on Dysart Road without stopping or calling 9-1-1.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call MCSO at (602) 876-TIPS (8477) or (602) 876-1011 and reference report IR23-013061.

No other information was immediately available.
