Man arrested after allegedly stabbing and killing brother in central Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man allegedly stabbed and killed his brother in central Phoenix on Sunday night, authorities said.

The Phoenix Police Department identified the man as 24-year-old Ali-Ondre Hampton.

Hampton was booked into jail on a second-degree murder charge on Monday.

What led to the fatal central Phoenix stabbing?

According to Phoenix police, officers responded to the area of 16th Street and Thomas Road for reports of a stabbing around 11:46 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found 30-year-old Timotheus Keshon Hampton suffering from at least one stab wound. They also made contact with Ali-Ondre Hampton.

Timotheus Hampton was taken by the Phoenix Fire Department to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Preliminary information suggests that the brothers were involved in an altercation when the stabbing occurred, police said.

Ali-Ondre Hampton was questioned before he was booked into jail, according to police.

The investigation into the central Phoenix stabbing is ongoing.
