Shooting victim discovered in car near Mesa intersection

PHOENIX — A man was found shot inside a vehicle in Mesa on Wednesday night, authorities said.

Officers were flagged down near Brown and Lindsay roads just after 10 p.m., according to the Mesa Police Department.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, but is currently in stable condition. Authorities said that condition could change at any time.

Police learned that the shooting occurred near McKellips and Lindsay roads.

Detectives are still trying to determine what led to the incident, according to police.
