Man fatally struck by vehicle while crossing 27th Avenue in Phoenix
A 59-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing 27th Avenue in Phoenix on Wednesday night, authorities said.

A 59-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing 27th Avenue in Phoenix on Wednesday night, authorities said.
Officers were called to the area of 27th and Glendale avenues around 11:26 p.m. for the collision, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Police found the man unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Phoenix Fire Department. The man’s identity has not been released.
Detectives said preliminary information suggests the man was crossing 27th Avenue outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by the pickup truck. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
Authorities also noted that speed is not believed to be a factor in the fatal collision.
Charging decisions are pending detectives’ completion of a reconstruction of the incident.

I guess nobody taught these people how to cross a street when they were children. That's where it starts. No reason an adult gets hit by crossing the street.
Of course, there's no ID on the jaywalker, but, regardless, he won't do it again..
