Police investigating after man killed in shooting at Glendale apartment

Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting at an apartment in Glendale on Sunday evening.

PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting at an apartment in Glendale on Sunday evening.

The Glendale Police Department identified the deceased man as 40-year-old Braulio Parra Sillas.

According to police, detectives were doing traffic control near 93rd Avenue and Entertainment Boulevard when they heard three gunshots and people yelling in the area around 6 p.m.

Detectives ran to where they heard the shots and reportedly found Parra Sillas dead from a gunshot wound near the front door of an apartment.

Police noted that the Glendale Fire Department responded and confirmed that Para Sillas was dead.

Detectives talked to the people in the apartment and took everyone into custody, including the person who fired the shots, according to Glendale police.

Police said that it is too soon to speculate on any type of outcome for the case as they are still looking at all aspects of the shooting as well as speaking with suspects and going through evidence.
