Suspect in Peoria grocery store shooting dead after apparent suicide, victim hospitalized
A woman allegedly involved in a shooting with a man she knew outside of a Peoria grocery store on Friday is dead after an apparent suicide, authorities said.

A woman allegedly involved in a shooting with a man she knew outside of a Peoria grocery store on Friday is dead after an apparent suicide, authorities said.
Officers responded to a Safeway at the intersection of El Mirage Road and Vistancia Boulevard and found a man with injuries, according to the Peoria Police Department. The woman suspected in the shooting was not present at the scene when officers arrived.
Police said she was located and pronounced dead “an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound” shortly after officers got to the area.
The man suffered a gunshot wound “to his upper torso,” according to police, and was in critical condition at a nearby hospital as of around 6 p.m.
Police said there is no remaining threat to the public as they continue their investigation.
