PHOENIX — Rescheduled dates and new shows have been announced for Justin Bieber’s 2021 World Tour, which was originally slated to take place this summer.
Bieber’s show in Arizona is now set to take place at Gila River Arena in Glendale on June 5 at 7 p.m.
However, Kehlani and Jaden Smith will no longer be the show’s opening act.
Bieber will be announcing his concert’s opening performer at a later date.
“I can’t wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour,” Bieber said in a statement.
“We’ve been through so much this year. More than ever, we’ve come to understand how much we need each other and how meaningful these moments can really be.”
Tickets for the event are still available online, with $1 from every purchase going toward the Bieber Foundation, which helps support mental health wellness.
For Beliebers that bought tickets for the June 2020 show, there’s no need to fret, as those tickets will be honored.
“All previous ticket-holders will receive an email from their ticket provider with event updates and options if they cannot make the 2021 date,” Bieber’s website said.
This isn’t the first change Bieber has had to make to his first performance in the Valley since March 2016.
Prior to the pop star rescheduling the entire tour due to the coronavirus pandemic, Bieber had downsized the venue he would be performing in from 60,000-seat State Farm Stadium to 18,000-seat Gila River Arena.
State Farm Stadium and Gila River Arena are both located in Glendale and are the homes of the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Coyotes.
According to Billboard, the Valley show and several others on Bieber’s 2020 Changes Tour were moved from stadiums to smaller venues due to poor ticket sales.
